Kirsty's Story
After having many months of agonizing pain in the lower back/stomach and up myside and being treated for a 'Kidney' infectioon, a doctor of mine finally agreed that something wasn't adding up and refered me to a local hospital to have a ultsound scan. Waiting for the results was hell! after over a month of waiting around not knowing what was wrong. The words fell right out of my GP's mouth... Polysystic Ovaries... I was told there on the spot that some woman who have PCO have up to a certain age where they will then need treatment such as IVF.. Not for me, not only was I told i have PCO at the age of 18 but i was told if i want to have a baby at any age i would instantly need to start treatment. It was only last weekI found out. Still trying to get my head around it now, still hasnt fully sunken in if i'm honest. Thankful I have my friend who is going through it too! she's been a true rock to me this past week!
